One of the most long awaited moments for everybody has finally arrived, the day of the "Achiever Awards"!

This is a typical British tradition which rewards the students who have distinguished themselves for commitment, conduct and merit at the end of each term. Each winner receives a certificate and a badge bearing the words "MERIT", that can be red, blue, green or yellow depending on the house they belong to. This way, children are motivated to always do their best and good behavior and respect for others are encouraged, as well as teamwork, as each winner will earn their house 50 points.

Normally, the awards ceremony takes place during the school assembly, in which the parents of the winners are invited to partecipate too, without the students knowing. This year, for obvious reasons, it was not possible to organize the ceremony, but our Head Master Mr Lawson and our Director, Bronya, awarded the students in their classes (even those who were following from home in distance learning mode!) with the same enthusiasm. The pupils kept the trepidation high, crossing their fingers in the hope of hearing their name announced, trying to guess who would win and cheering for their classmates , applauding and cheering for them.

A special prize, newly created in recognition of this difficult learning situation for all students, was awarded to those who distinguished themselves for their commitment and participation in distance learning, thus receiving the certificate of "DAD Superstar".

Congratulations to this term’s winners, we are proud of you! And good luck to everyone for the next awards, which will be assigned during the Easter period!
