Chatterbox follows the Italian system, which includes 3 years of pre-school; however, it recognises the importance of a year of continuity between pre-school and primary school years. Therefore, Reception – which in the U.K. is the first year of primary school – in Chatterbox constitutes a fundamental link between pre-school years and the start of primary school. It is located in the primary building allowing the child to get used to being in a bigger school, making the transition to primary school less daunting.

The reception curriculum is enriched through focused learning on P.E., literacy, numeracy, Chinese language and music.

Chatterbox Playschool enrolment requests (Reception)

criteria for the acceptance of applications with the following order of priority:

• Children born by 31 December of the year in which attendance begins;
• Children from the Starters Chatterbox Playschool;
• Siblings of children already included in the Chatterbox circuit;
• Children of one or both parents who are native English speakers;
• Children from recognized International English schools.
